Air Fryer Sweet Chili-Glazed Turkey Breast: Juicy & Flavorful

The Secret to Perfectly Juicy Turkey Breast

Turkey is often reserved for big holiday feasts, but it is actually one of the most versatile and lean proteins available for everyday cooking. The challenge has always been keeping it moist. Traditional roasting can easily lead to dry, flavorless meat. However, the air fryer changes the game entirely. By using high-powered convection heat, the air fryer seals in the juices while creating a beautiful, sticky exterior.

This Sweet Chili-Glazed Turkey Breast combines a hint of heat with a subtle sweetness, making it a sophisticated yet simple choice for dinner. If you enjoy poultry with a fruity or spicy kick, you should also try my Pineapple-Glazed Chicken Wings. This turkey recipe is perfect for those who want a wholesome, home-cooked meal without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless turkey breast (about 1.5 to 2 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, ground ginger, and lime juice to create the glaze. Set aside.
  2. Pat the turkey breast completely dry with paper towels. Rub the exterior with olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the turkey breast in the air fryer basket, skin-side up.
  4. Cook at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  5. Open the basket and brush a generous layer of the sweet chili glaze over the turkey.
  6. Continue cooking for another 10–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Remove the turkey from the air fryer and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
Tip: Always use a meat thermometer. Turkey breast varies in thickness, and the only way to ensure it is juicy—not dry—is to pull it out exactly when it hits 165°F.
Note: If you have leftover glaze, simmer it in a small saucepan for 2 minutes to thicken it further and serve it as a dipping sauce on the side.
Warning: Do not apply the glaze too early in the cooking process. The sugar in the sweet chili sauce can burn quickly under the air fryer's heating element.
